Based on students' initial questions and insights, AES believes that scientific thinking is a life skill often underestimated in primary science education—particularly in the fields of nature, physics, and chemistry. For students, 'scientific thinking' means connecting scientific concepts and information to experiences in the world around them, evaluating the factors that influence or alter outcomes, recording evidence of changes, and identifying patterns. It is neither magic nor merely a matter of making comparisons or gazing in wonder at unusual phenomena without questioning them.

Fostering scientific thinking in schools by conducting workshops and hands on helps develop fundamental skills—such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and observation—alongside nurturing children's innate curiosity. It also instills the courage to face challenges and a lifelong desire to learn. This can be achieved by leveraging children's natural tendency to explore the world through play and questioning—an approach AES incorporates into its teaching methods. The focus shifts from rote memorization of facts to the actual "doing" of science—asking questions, conducting experiments, and grasping concepts—thereby fostering the students' holistic development.
